Cartoon Costume Ideas For College?

So my college is having a dance in a couple weeks, and the theme is cartoon characters, everyone is supposed to dress up. I need some ideas for what my date and I could dress up as, I want something really unique and original, something that nobody else will think of. Got anything? It has to be a cartoon.

i would pick a short lived cartoon like Johnny Bravo and one of his fawning hott chics on the side.
scooby doo like fred and velma, betty boop, mickey and minnie, any super heros, flintstones would be really cute, the jetsons, care bear, dora the explorer, sponge bob, power puff girls, simpsons…. theres so many
